Lumee
is Bahraini slang for lemons and limes… and it is directly related to the food which is flavour-packed, fresh and zesty.
We’re devoted to capture the essence of Middle Eastern street food in a café\deli contemporary setting. Exciting flavours from Bahrain and the Gulf as well as the region (the Levant/ Egypt/ Turkey/ Iran..) are gathered creatively with classics like ‘hommos’ and ‘Bahraini tikka lumee’ and signature dishes like the ‘Spicy Mattai Salad’, ‘Quinoa Kubbe’ and ‘Pita Toasties’.
THE STREET GRILLS
We had to pay tribute to Bahrain’s legendary street grills.. scattered around Manama’s old souk serving rustic kabab and tikka with some bread, and of course lumee to squeeze!

Our signature lemonades are displayed in bottles on the deli counter in a crushed ice bucket; choose from five refreshing varieties..

Enjoy a quick cup of Turkish coffee and some cake… Distinctive homemade cakes & pastries, ice creams and sorbets are baked and prepared fresh from our bakery with specials on a daily basis.

PITA TOASTIES
Fresh Pita bread is baked daily from our “Khabaz” and filled with flavour-packed fillings such as juicy lamb & chicken kababs, and falafil or haloumi cheese as lighter vegetarian options.
SALADS
A daily variety of healthy salads are prepared and served fresh from the deli in a medium plate; perfect as a sharing mezze, or in a large bowl as a full meal.
LUNCH & DINNER DISHES
Enjoy home-style authentic food.. with at least 3 daily warm lunch dishes on display ranging from Bahraini Machboos to Egyptian Kushari, lunch at Lumee is fast, fresh and exciting.
